Sprouts are my favorite way to introduce fresh nutrients into my belly. The best thing about them is that I can grow them myself in my very own kitchen!
Fresh home-grown sprouts
- 2 tbsp Sprouting seeds of your choice
- 2 cups Filtered Water
- 1 Masson jar
- 1 Cheese cloth or sprouting lid (see where you can find one below)
Let sprouting seeds sit in 2 cups of water for 6 hours or overnight.
In the morning, drain, rinse and let sit for 6 hours or until the evening
In the evening, rinse, drain and let sit for 6 hours or overnight.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for three to four days or until the tails of the sprouts have grown about two inches.
Once grown, keep in the fridge. Keeps for about four or five days.
You can throw them on salads, tacos, stir fry or any dish needing a fresh touch. Let me know in the comments below what you enjoy with sprouts.
